The company has increased its sales staff and will launch a 3-phase expansion of facilities

Garden Center | May 3, 2010

Bonide Products in Oriskany, N.Y., unveiled preliminary plans for a 3-phase expansion of its manufacturing and distribution facility last week. The proposed expansion will begin with the construction of an additional 50,000 square-foot finished-goods warehouse and distribution facility. Plans for the second and third phases include expanded manufacturing and packaging capabilities to bring the total expansion to over 150,000 square-feet.

The existing Bonide manufacturing facility embraces state of the art environmental and energy conservation innovations. These include the use of solar-electric generating panels, wastewater recycling, use of high-efficiency electric motors, and solid waste recycling. Plans for the new facilities include additional solar electric capabilities, geothermal heat pumps, and radiant floor heating to further minimize the company’s carbon footprint.

Bonide Products also announced the hiring of nine new sales-team members in key markets. These additions bring Bonide’s total number of field sales representatives to twenty-one.

New members of Bonide’s sales team are:
Terri Wright – South Central Regional Sales Manager
Art Cockett – Northeast Regional Sales Manager
Jim Sprole – Retail Sales Specialist – NC, SC
Brian Groenewold – Retail Sales Specialist – MN, IA
Richard Wendelken – Retail Sales Specialist – Long Island, NY
Lonzo Johnson – Retail Sales Specialist – TX, LA
