New foliage is brilliant rosy-apricot leaves that hold their gold color summer-through-autumn. Rosy-orchid sweet pea-type flowers are delivered in early spring before the foliage and are attractive to bees and butterflies. Even the bark is a smooth tan with a yellowish cast, distinctive from other Redbuds.
