Leo Gentry Wholesale Nursery files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy

The Oregon nursery will reorganize and continue operations

The nursery (debtor), loccated in Damascus, Ore., reported assests of less than $10 million.

Northwest Farm Credit Services PCA in Salem, Ore., is its largest creditor, owed $23.7 million, of which $9.7 million is secured, according to the bankruptcy petition.

The nursery has been serving the industry since 1977. It grows Japanese maples, flowering and shade trees, broadleaf evergreens, perennials, ornamental grasses and deciduous shrubs.
